Why Did You
Decide to Become
an Orthodontist?
When Dr. Johnson was 13 years old, he got braces, and he knew right then and there that he was destined to become an orthodontist. Going through the process made him fall in love with it – and decades later, this is still the perfect profession for him!
Where Did You Study Dentistry & Orthodontics?
After attending the University of South Florida, Dr. Johnson pursued his dental doctorate at Washington University. He remained at the same school to complete his master’s and Orthodontic Certificate. Today, he has completed continuing education with prestigious organizations like the Pankey Institute, and he’s also gained his Board Certification in Dental Sleep Medicine, along with several completed courses in Airway Orthodontics. He is currently a member of the Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and American Association of Orthodontists.
Outside of the Orthodontic Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Johnson is lucky to come from a very close and supportive family. He and his brother actually started dental school at the same time, but went down different paths (orthodontics and pediatric dentistry)! Outside of working hours, one of his biggest hobbies is dabbling with anything computer oriented.
